About Us
We're more than just the place where you can get the finest florals in the North, we're a team of unique, fun people with a love for what we do and that shows in every bouquet, arrangement and gift (and coffee!) that we create.
We also love when our customers pop in to catch up over a coffee, we're passionate about our community.
The Team
Emma M (yes, there’s 2 Emmas and that’s why everyone calls her Em) has a finance and insurance background, with a burning love of floristry - spending some time working for florists over the past 15 years, she finally bit the bullet in 2022 and purchased Gawler Flower Gallery. Em just gets it done; whether it’s deliveries, working in the coffee shop, leading the florist team or designing the stunning range we have on offer. Em is also in control of what we offer in giftware and how the shop is set out. Em is also incredibly passionate about animals and can often be found stopped next to a paddock saying hello to Alpacas and Llamas!
Stuart has previously worked in Finance, Sport, Online Consultancy or Automotive industries, but in the back of his mind he always wanted a coffee shop. Always the marketing guru, Stuart came up with the name which is a combo of Emma M’s love of Alpacas and Stuart’s love of coffee. Stuart does everything. When he’s not making coffee or gasbagging with our beautiful customers, he can be found working hard trying to improve processes within the business. Stuart is our Marketing guru, our Finance guy, our HR team and most importantly the brains of the business. When Stuart isn’t here, you’ll find him supporting his local SANFL footy club - Centrals. He’s a social butterfly and treasures experiences and friendships ... .plus he makes awesome coffee!
Emma G is a diamond in the rough. Once working at the flower markets where she was not looking particularly happy, we bonded over her losing her pet goat. I offered her a job and the rest is history. Emma is a little firecracker who is ferociously protective of her three children (yes…they’re all adults). She has a love of all animals and is currently a proud mum of Arlo, a cheeky Boxer who thinks he’s human. After studying floristry Emma has blown us away with her beautiful ethereal designs and her love of soft pastels. She is the Queen of bouquets and unlike Skye..she’s an utter chatterbox and we wouldn’t have her any other way.
Skye is our resident boho/hippie chick. When she’s not here you can find Skye upstairs in her own business “Omega Dreams’ where she is massaging, healing or just hanging out. Skye has taken us by surprise…one day she asked if she could work here and had no experience, we said why not and we’ve never looked back. She continues to amaze us with her love of colour, Australian natives and cottage vibe. When Skye isn’t working, she can be found running around with her two children. One thing about Skye is she never keeps still. She doesn’t say much, but when she does it’s either thoughtful or sassy…(I wonder where her daughter gets her sass from!). Skye’s zen vibes always calms us down.
Tam is our sassy little Barista. She walked into our shop one day with her Mum - by the time we’d finished chatting we had offered her a job, and we’ve loved every minute since! She’s one of 7 siblings so she knows how to just get on with the job. Like Emma G, Tam has a love of animals and her favourite (not that she has a favourite pet 😉) is Noodle who is a Great Dane who thinks he’s the size of a poodle. If Tam isn’t making coffee, you’ll find her with our florists helping strip flowers or tidy the coolroom. Tam is also a chatterbox that keeps us entertained.
Geoff is our wonderful loyal delivery driver. Everyone loves Geoff and how could you not. With his quirky and sarcastic sense of humour, he continues to keep us on our toes. Geoff is a Gawler boy born and bred and when delivering he doesn’t use a map. We’re pretty sure he has a built-in GPS in his head. - everywhere he goes he seems to know someone. He once went on a cruise to Spain and met someone from Gawler! He’s hard working and an all round good person and we would be lost without him.
